Timberwolf Times
Vol. 1 Issue 26, February, 6 2019
Hello Timberwolf Nation!
Good afternoon everyone!
Just a reminder, that the front parking lot should only be used for drop off/pick up if your child is injured and they need a little extra time getting in the building or if they have a large instrument such as a tuba, bass, etc. All other students should be dropped off/picked up through the drive.
Basketball season is winding down this week but soon we will be in to track and soccer. I can't wait to see how the end of the season turns out for us in basketball and looking forward to seeing what the students will do on the track and on the soccer field!
I hope that everyone has a good week!
Regards,
Dr. Melinda Stone

Message From The Clinic
Parents:
We have had numerous cases of students who have been diagnosed with the flu or who are ill with flu-like symptoms. Common symptoms of influenza flu include fever, headache, muscle and body aches, chills, sore throat, exhaustion and dry cough. Children may also have nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
What Can You Do?
Talk to your child about practicing good health habits:
• Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
Alcohol-based hand sanitize-rs can also be used if soap and water is not
available.
• Cover mouth and nose into the inside of the elbow or with a tissue when
sneezing or coughing and dispose of the tissue immediately into the trash.
• Avoid touching the “T zone”- eyes, nose and mouth. • Avoid sharing drinks,
water bottles, eating utensils and cell phones.
Prevent spreading illness to others:
• Keep your sick child home from school until he/she has been fever-free for 24
hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication), food and liquids have
been tolerated for at least 24 hours without vomiting and/or diarrhea (without
the use of medication to relieve symptoms), and students diagnosed with a
contagious illness that is being treated with prescription medication must
complete a minimum of 24 hours of the prescribed medication prior to
returning to school.
A DOCTOR’S NOTE DOES NOT SUPERSEDE THE 24 HOUR RULE.
