Health and Wellness Fair Thursday, March 23
The Health and Wellness Fair will be on March 23rd during all lunches in the Navy Gym. We are encouraging students to incorporate healthy living and coping strategies through community resources and LISD Staff. All students will get the opportunity to choose to attend this event during their lunch periods on Thursday, March 23rd.

Golf Fundraiser March 31st!
We are excited to kick off our 11th Annual Tournament at the Tour 18 Golf Club in Flower Mound, TX on Friday, March 31st.

FMHS Debaters Qualify for Nationals and Earned 1st Place
The following FMHS Debaters have qualified for the 2023 National Championship tournament which will be held June 10-17 in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to qualifying, the team earned 1st place team sweepstakes for the North Texas District of the National Speech and Debate Association. This is the 19th consecutive year FMHS has qualified for nationals!

TAFE State Competition Results
At the Teach Tomorrow Summit, FMHS was very well represented and brought home some impressive awards. Five students qualified for the Educators Rising National Leadership Conference in June. The awards are as follows:
Gold Certificates awarded to:
Chapter Yearbook team of Linda Blanco, Isabella Hankins, Anna Schafer, and Melissa Stahly
Professional Portfolio (individual event) – Kinley Broeker, Brooke Dasher, Taina Koga, Lauren North, Anna Schafer, and Katie Tuttle
National Qualifiers:
Kinley Broeker in Lesson Planning and Delivery – Humanities
Taina Koga in Exploring Education Administration Careers
Brooke Dasher and Melissa Stahly in Interactive Bulletin Board – Elementary Language Arts
Kinley Broeker and Katie Tuttle in Interactive Bulletin Board – Elementary Math
In addition, Kinley and Taina each received the Judges’ Choice Award and a scholarship in their respective events.
FMHS Orchestras Achieve Sweepstakes Ratings
FMHS Orchestra both hosted and had five orchestras participate in Orchestra UIL this week. We are beyond proud of the students for being gracious and accommodating hosts. All five orchestras achieved sweepstakes ratings. We are very appreciative of the support around the building that enabled this event to occur and were heart warmed by the staff in attendance to listen.
FMHS Theater One Act Play Advances to District
On Friday, FMHS Theatre advanced from the Zone UIL One Act Play Contest to the District Contest. They will be competing at Marcus HS this Tuesday, March 7.
Awards presented at the Zone Contest:
Outstanding Crew Member – Jordan Flint
Best Crew of the Day – Ranger Blue, Emma Davis, Jordan Flint, Liam McConnell, Dani Quitadamo, Rithika Warrier, Logan Whitten
Honorable Mention All Star Cast – Dylan Ciminna, Riley Grippo, and Berkley Broeker

FMHS Robotics
FMHS FTC team "Interactive Intentions" participated in the Alabama State Championship. the team won both the highly coveted INSPIRE Award for being a role model FIRST team, as well as, the Winning Alliance Captain title. This accomplishment enabled the team to advance to the World Championship in Houston for the 2nd straight year.
FMHS 4192 Robot (FRC UIL Tournament) placed 4th in NTX Tournament and the team also won an award for Machine, Creativity and Innovation.
Girls & Boys Soccer Clinch Playoff Spots With their 6-0 and 2-0 wins over Plano on Friday, both girls and boys soccer secured their spots in the playoffs. Each team has two more games in district play. Let's go Jags!! | Congrats to Boys Golf! Boys competed at the Lewisville Invitational at Indian Creek and came away as champions. Ways to go Jags! | Lady Jags Varsity Track Takes 1st Varsity Girls win the team title at Coppell Relays. Grace Bettencourt was the individual high point scorer for the meet. Varsity Boys place 3rd. Congrats Jags! |

Student Parking Alert!
Only athletes that participate in those sports are allowed to park in that athletic complex. Those students will have a special hang tag indicating their participation.
Same rules apply as parking in any prohibited or reserved area.
ID Badge Information
As of Friday, August 19th - ALL students should now have a current ID badge for the 2022-2023 school year.
- Students will NOT be allowed in the building without a current ID around their neck.
- $5.00 will be assessed in Skyward every time a student has to purchase a new ID from the front office.
- Parents can access/pay fees by clicking on "Fee Management" in Skyward Family Access, full website version - not the app. Payments will only be accepted online.
- Fees can also be found in your LISD RevTrak Account select 1:X & Skyward Fee Payments
- Please contact your child's Assistant Principal if you need to pay by cash or check.
