#BeBrooks97 Celebration Assembly on Thursday, January 25th

Each grade level will participate in our #BeBrooks97 Celebration Assembly this Thursday, January 25th. Some of our Speech, Drama and Debate students will be performing their monologues and we will also have excerpts from our upcoming production of Junie B. Jones performed for our students. Additionally we will recognize our 7th grade Boys Basketball team who won the championship this year. They came in third place at the end of regular season and started the playoffs by defeating Unity, which advanced them to the semifinals. Then they went on to defeat Irving, who they lost to twice during the season. The final match was between Brooks and Julian. Brooks had lost both times to Julian during the regular season but during the finals defeated Julian by two points in a very exciting, hard fought game. We will also recognize the Brooks students who attended the Junior Theatre Festival (JTF) who earned Highest Honors celebrating their 10th consecutive year at JTF, 9 years of showcasing and 9 years of receiving the coveted Top Honor at the national theater festival! Out of 119 groups from around the world BRAVO was honored with Outstanding Premiere Performance - the new top tier!
