Reason for the Amendment
The 10th Amendment was added to the constitution of 1787 because of the intellectual influence and personal persistence of the Anti-Federalist and their allies .It was written to emphasize the limited nature of the powers delegated to the Federal Government .The 10th Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of the people of the time that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the states or the people .
