Differentiate WTW

An easy way to differentiate for word study/work work is to use the Words Their Way assessment, then group students according to their stage. I found this WTW grouping planner on the following website:

http://www.secondstorywindow.net/home/2014/06/a-teachers-guide-to-words-their-way.html

If you are looking for a way to differentiate using the sorts, this teacher site has some great ideas and, as always, Jenni is ready support you if you want to try this out. The WTW grouping planner will be housed in the Husmann Central Folder under Literacy Resources.

  • YOU ROCK Anita for all you do for the District Art Show and Open House!! You put in so many hours preparing for these two events and the teachers, kids and families truly appreciate it!
  • Selena you rock for taking time out of your schedule to administer MAP assessment while I'm at Math training!
  • My Kindergarten teammates rock!

Jill, Kim and Barb stepped up to the plate when I was unexpectedly out for 2 weeks.

They prepared sub plans, passed along extension activities, checked in with my subs (and me) to make sure that everything ran smoothly.

I did not worry that my students were well taken care of while I was away.

I am very lucky to work with such a thoughtful group of teachers!

  • Luis Perez usually works behind the scenes and we are all blessed to know such a wonderful, friendly, hard-working, family man. Thanks for all you do for the Husmann family Mr. Perez. This school would not be the same without your service and smile.

  • Tina Serra rocks for organizing a "sweet" literacy event for our primary students! Thank you!

  • Karen Belke - she is a wonderful coworker and an even more amazing friend - I am blessed to know her. Also, thank you for letting me use your room so often to get my work done - it helps tremendously!
