Holy Redeemer Catholic School
Dear Holy Redeemer family,
I hope that you have really enjoyed the summer holiday and the opportunity to spend time with family and friends! I hope that there has been ample time for renewal of our spirits and energy as we set about the start of another school year. I am very excited to join the Holy Redeemer Catholic School community! At Holy Redeemer, we are called in our journey to imitate Christ through passionate witnessing, authentic teaching, and connected relationships. This journey works hand in hand with our new division theme this year of ‘Choose Joy’ (1 Peter 3:15)
As a school community, we have a special spirit that binds us together in a positive atmosphere, which ensures that all children receive a high-quality education in a safe and caring environment. We are very fortunate to have OLPH Catholic Church supporting us as a strong faith partner.
On a personal note, it is my pleasure to be returning to this wonderful school community that I love, as the Principal of Holy Redeemer Catholic School. It is a vibrant and loving community built on the strong foundation of positive relationships with our students, staff, and parents.
Together as a Holy Redeemer Community, we are all working for the success and safety of our students and their families. Together, “We Got This”!

Parent Re-entry Handbook
We recommend you print a copy of the Alberta Health Services screening tool to use every morning before you send your child(ren) to school.
Attendance Reporting Procedures
Please note, that if your child will be late, all doors to the school will be locked, therefore they will need to be let in. There is a doorbell located on the wall to the left of the door. If for any reason you need to pick up your child from school during regular school hours, you must call the school office to let us know. At this time, parents will not be coming into the school to sign their child out as we need to limit the traffic of non staff and students in our building and this helps us trace any possible COVID exposure should it happen.
Bus passes will be handed out to your home room teachers the first full week of school.
For those of you in Kindergarten, Mrs.S wants to welcome you back as you start your first full week of Kindergarten! Busing will begin for students this week in kindergarten, as well. A reminder that there is an extra programming day this Friday, September 11th so there is 3 full days of kindergarten this week. Have a wonderful week! Mrs.Spilchak

Each year, schools across EICS come together around a common theme. This year’s theme is Choose Joy: The Reason for our Hope (1 Peter 3:15).
There are many challenges that we are faced with everyday, especially since the middle of March. Our faith theme challenges us to Choose Joy each and every day. By opening our hearts to God, the reason for our hope, we will bring that positivity and love into every aspect of our lives.
