Session 1: Applying Reports
Discover how to support your work with MAP Growth reports
Once you're comfortable with the basics of administering MAP Growth assessments, get hands-on with your reports. Learn to access, interpret, and apply rich data. Then plan how to use your data to inform ongoing work, with a particular focus on goal setting with students.
** Before the workshop complete at least one MAP Growth test administration
Typical Workshop Day
- Learn to employ metrics from key MAP Growth reports
- Meet individual student needs by identifying targeted instructional groups based on MAP Growth goal area performance data
- Boost differentiation efforts by connecting groups of students to skills in the Learning Continuum
Session 2: Informing Instruction
Dig into instructional implications
Dive deeper into classroom application of MAP Growth reports and the Learning Continuum. Support differentiated instruction and meet the needs of every student through flexible groupings and instructional ladders based on your MAP Growth results. Tailor your learning even further with learning centers focused on topics such as using formative assessment and integrating Khan Academy resources.

Additional highlights
- The Informing Instruction workshops build on the data-to-instruction experience that participants are exposed to in the Applying Reports workshop. Those who have attended Applying Reports will take their learning to a deeper level, while those who have not will experience the process and template for the first time.
- Teachers are encouraged to bring curricular materials to use in this workshop as they engage in lesson planning.

FOOD: Light snacks, coffee, and water will be provided. Soda will be available for an additional $0.50
COST:
$55.00 for employees of districts/agencies in Madison, Champaign, Clark, Hardin, Logan and Shelby counties
$70.00 for employees of districts/agencies in counties other than those listed above.
Credit: 3 contact hours per session will be provided by the ESC
NWEA Map Growth (2 half day sessions)
Food & Beverage: Coffee, bottled water, and assorted snacks will be available throughout the workshops. Soda will be available to purchase for an additional $0.50 from the front desk.
What You Should Bring: Participants should plan to bring the following:
- A device that you are comfortable using (+ A laptop is preferred + A tablet or Chromebook is acceptable + Mobile phones are not supported)
- Install a PDF reader (+you will need a PDF reader to take notes in your learning guide during the workshop +we recommend Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Our Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received no closer than 5 business days from the date of the workshop. Cancellations received outside of this policy will not be accepted. Attendees and/or employing districts will be billed accordingly.
