CBISD 2014-2015 Mandatory Staff Development Plan

In keeping with federal, state and local compliances, all employees, new and returning must complete the courses listed on page 5 or 6. These courses are annual requirements that meet the constraints of federal, state and local trainings or staff developments.

Provided below are brief overviews of the Texas Administrative Code, Title 19, Part II §153.1011. Minimum Staff Development Standards, Texas Educator Code, §21.451, Texas Educator Code, §21.054, Columbia-Brazoria ISD Multi-year Goals Pertaining to Staff Development, Columbia-Brazoria ISD District Improvement Plan Goal, Objective and Strategies as they pertain to trainings or staff developments. It is important to note that some courses are due before August 25, 2014 and others must be completed by January 30, 2015. Upon completion, staff will need to sign and return page 5 or 6 to Brenda Matthews in Central Administration via interoffice mail. It is not necessary for staff to submit copies of EduHero or Eduphoria certificates of completion; or other documents along with their signature sheet. One signature sheet per person for all modules will suffice.

Paraprofessional Notice: Paraprofessionals will need to complete online courses during scheduled in-service days. Paraprofessionals who complete EduHero courses outside of these scheduled days will not receive compensation for electing to do so as the district has set aside days and resources for completion.
