I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Talley Street has hosted summer school and ESY this month. So, it has been busy here at the school. The school will be closed beginning next Monday, June 28th and will reopen on July 7th. Below you will find some information. I hope everyone has a great rest of the summer! Please remember to remind your child to read!

The school will hold tours on July 15th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There is not a sign up schedule. Parents and their children may come anytime during these hours. The tour is for any new 3rd grade student that was unable to attend the previous tours and for any rising 4th or 5th grader that has not had the opportunity to walk the school building. The school will still be in the summer cleaning mode. So, please excuse us if the building is not perfect. We will have it totally ready when we open school on Tuesday, August 3rd.

If you haven’t already done so, last school year’s report cards may be accessed in the Parent Portal.

Back to school Meet and Greets will again be virtual this school year. The Meet and Greets will be held on July 30th. The times are 3rd grade 11:00-11:45, 4th grade 12:00-12:45, and 5th grade 1:00-1:45. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you with more information before the 30th.

It is not too late to register for CSD’s Launchpad for Learning. Today is the deadline to register. The information is below.

This program is designed to give kids an opportunity for a camp-style, enrichment program that will help launch them successfully into their new grade. It is not summer school. The Monday-Thursday half-day camp will cover important topics for each grade: content overview, team building, leadership skills, school community building, school culture, and executive functioning skills to make navigating the 21-22 school easier!

Please complete one registration form per student. Students are able to participate in one week only this summer, not both sessions. Camp will run from 9 am-12 pm, and be located at the school that your child will attend in the upcoming school year. Session A: July 12 - July 16 or Session B: July 19 - 23

The cost for the program will be $115 per child, and there are scholarships available (be sure to indicate your request for a scholarship on the form). The completion of this registration form does secure a spot (pending payment or scholarship notification) in your cohort of choice. There will be no child care provided by the Launchpad for Learning Summer Camp after camp is over for a particular day.
