Principal Message
Greetings Walker Mill Families,
This week we have welcomed all students whose families have trusted us to keep them safe while they learn in school. At this time you can not request to attend Hybrid Learning. However, you may still email your grade level administrator to placed in Full Distance Learning.
Parents who are still having Transportation issues please enter your complaint in the Transportation Resolution Center.
It is now the Fourth Quarter! While it may be the last quarter of the school year, it is not the end. Students still need to attend classes and complete assignments in google classroom. Urgent- Grade Recovery Opportunity
As we prepare for end of the year closing activities- there are a number of students who can potentially be retained due to earning consecutive failing grades in core content courses (RELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). When a student earns an E in a class for Quarter 1, Quarter 2, and Quarter 3- they have failed that class. In an effort to provide an opportunity for students who have earned three E’s in a core content class- those students will have an opportunity to “recover” Quarter 3 and earn a passing grade. In order to earn a grade no higher than a D (60%) in those core classes that have been failed- a student must complete 10 IXL Analytics lessons in the corresponding course and grade level. Students will have until midnight May 2, 2021, to complete all lessons. If you have questions please email your grade level administrator.
