Winter Blood Drive A Success!

A BIG thanks to Tom Harlow, Angie Bray and Key Club Members for a successful blood drive. This year our blood drive registered 60 donors and collected 57 pints of blood. There were also 30 registered first time donors. Our next blood drive is scheduled for May 16, 2017.

The American Red Cross has been a partner with SHS for many years, which allows us to sponsor two blood drives a year to help promote community service for our students.

State Convention for Student Council

Going to IASC State Convention was a beneficial experience for everyone. Student Council members learned a lot that they can use for the leadership workshop at the elementary schools and middle school.

SHS Student Council also got to talk to people from other councils throughout the state and discovered several options that could help us as leaders here. They experience helped SHS to get new ideas and develop our overall leadership skills.
