Dragon Strong Community
Superintendent's Update - Oct 30 Basketball Season
Basketball Season
October 30, 2020
Dear Dragon Community,
Basketball season starts for the Dragons on November 9. While covid restrictions change many things, we are thankful for the opportunity for Dragon basketball, even in a limited capacity. Unfortunately, seating will be very limited; therefore priority consideration will be given to the parents of basketball players. Dragons have a strong tradition of fan and community support, and we will certainly look forward to the coming days when we can come together in the gym to cheer for our student-athletes.
Sincerely,
Dr. Debbie Atwell
Superintendent

Guidelines:
The following requirements are in place for all attending basketball events. Players, coaches, and fans must be aware of these ADH guidelines for entering:
Everyone must be symptom free (no fever for at least two days, no cough, no sore throat, and have not been exposed to anyone who has tested positive).
Everyone inside the facility is required to wear a mask at all times, except players that are actively participating
Fans who aren’t from the same household must be prepared to socially distance at least six feet at all times/areas
Home Team Seating and Ticketing:
Home bleachers allow seating for a total of 28 blocks of 2 (56 seats total).
22 blocks (44 seats) will be reserved for players from each team for their game; Players on teams with 11 or less players will each get 4 vouchers; On teams with more than 11 players each player will get 2 seats and in rotations have chances for additional seats; Team coaches will handle player vouchers for each team.
6 sets of 2 seat blocks (12 seats) are available for each game for purchase; vouchers can be requested by calling Tom Harrell at the MHS Field House at 479-369-4666 between 12:00 and 2:30. - Vouchers will be left at the gate "Will Call" for pickup before the game.
Each fan will need to present a voucher at the gate along with $4 to enter.
Children under 5 will be admitted at no charge but do need a voucher or to be held/lap seated
Vouchers are issued and tickets will be sold PER game; the gym must be cleared between games.
A parent with players on multiple teams will only purchase one ticket per night. Voucher will be signed at the gate with ticket purchase and presented with the voucher for the additional games that same night for admission.
AAA passes, Dragon Faculty & Staff passes, and Dragon Lifetime passes can be accepted WITH vouchers
Arrival Times, Entrances & Exits:
Please note that projected start times for each game are listed on the schedule. Because we have to clear the gym between games and to avoid crowding in the lobby and ticket lines, fans should arrive just prior to the start time of the game.
Fans should enter using the Lobby Entrance to the gym at MHS and exit using the doors by the MHS Office.
AAA and Press Passes for non-home and non-visiting team spectators:
A limited number of seating is available for press and AAA passes for spectators of teams not playing that night; to obtain vouchers for these seats contact Tom Harrell at call the MHS Field House at 479-369-4666 between 12:00 and 2:30.
Away Games
Our opponents are facing the same challenges with limited seating. Most schools will require vouchers for purchase of tickets at the gate. Each week information will be made available on the status of seating and how to request vouchers using school notifications systems and FB
