7 Mindsets Update: Our Mindset focus is EVERYTHING is POSSIBLE (April 12- May 3)
Title I News
MCMS is a Title I School
What is Title I?
Title I is a program that provides federal funds through the GA DOE to public schools with high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging State academic content and student academic achievement standards.
Title I Status at MCMS:
MCMS is a Title I School. We have achieved our yearly academic goals, and our Title I Status is not a Focus, Alert, or Priority school.
Upcoming Title I Meetings:
- Title I Input Meeting, Tuesday, April 20 @ 3pm- we will meet in person in the MCMS Media Center
- Title I Input Meeting, Tuesday, April 27 @ 5:30 pm- we will meet virtually via Google Meet Link: https://meet.google.com/ggr-pdqx-rms?hs=122&authuser=0
- At the MCMS Title I Input Meetings, parents, guardians, students, faculty and community members are welcomed and encouraged to provide direct feedback about how our Title I program should prioritize Title I funds for the 2021-2022 school year. We will also gather feedback about goals that parents, students and the school should collaborate on (Parent-School Compact) in order to achieve our school-level and district-level academic and behavioral goals. Additionally, information about best ways to communicate with parents as well as ideal methods of communication will be gathered in order to improve our parent involvement plan.
If you have questions about Title I or would like to email or call regarding our Title I Program at MCMS, please contact Teddi Shriner, House 1100 Counselor/ Title I Parent Involvement Coordinator:
