NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Many students here enjoy gaming, and over the years they have excitedly told me about the various games they are playing, challenges they face during their games and game conquests.
This week, the talk has been a little different for some students who have approached me to ask if I have heard about "Momo" and how this character hacks into games and Youtube. Although none of the students that talked to me have actually experienced this type of hacking, they seem concerned and need to talk nonetheless.
I believe this information has also been featured on the news and in newspaper articles.
I came across this resource designed to help parents understand what is happening in the digital world, as well as, other helpful information. It is worth a look to keep abreast to guide our students as they navigate various applications, games and situations. There is a good article about this and other challenges on Common Sense Media.

What is Futsal?
Futsal originated in Uruguay and was quickly adopted throughout South America. It is now played all over the world and is growing rapidly in the United States.
Why is it so great?
Futsal is the ultimate game for helping players to develop skillful and creative tactics, foot skills, and ball control. Futsal is a fast-paced and exciting game that creates players that think quickly on the field and perform well under the pressure of a fast moving game. With on the field teams no larger than 5 vs 5, players are constantly involved in the action and touching the ball on a basketball style court, which has less space than a normal soccer field, encouraging control, finesse and high energy!
