Gentle Reminders...

Some things have come up over the past week, and I realized we have never addressed/set an expectation for the school.

A. Leaving Campus during the school day- We understand things come up, forgot to bring lunch, need to grab a prescription, etc., but on a regular basis everyone should remain on campus.

B. Dress Code- Professional attire should be worn to work Monday-Thursday.

-No t-shirts to work Monday-Thursday (unless it is a PBIS incentive or Special event)

-Fridays- spirit wear, college wear, sports wear, and jeans are all acceptable

C. Teaching Time- It is important that we are serving and teaching our babies everyday. Please be sure to be in your classrooms or designated locations according to your schedules.

D. Lexia- please view our schools usage report below. It is essential that students requiring Lexia have access to the program daily.

E. Running Late/Emergencies- Please remember to text Ashley and Rebecka if you are running late or run into an emergency.

F& P Scores...

Student F and P Level Dates

The dates indicate when the Formal and Informal Inventories must be entered on Aspen for all students.

    · When a Formal F&P Assessment Inventory is uploaded, the accuracy and comprehension should also be uploaded.

    · When an Informal Inventory is used to determine the F&P level, do not record accuracy and comprehension. Select “Informal” option on Aspen.

    · Informal Inventory Options and possible Comprehension prompts are located on Google Team Drive: “Leonard’s Literacy Resources”: “Assessment and Progressions” folder; “Informal Inventories”.

Classroom Money...

The deadline for spending your teacher money will be extended out until the 21st. All orders need to be submitted to Ivonne by that date. If everyone does not utilize their funds, we can use them to purchase other things for our students. We will do a grade level supply order in January to supplement any items you may need to replenish.

Watermelon Contest

From Ms. Wilson:

Whichever class can figure out the weight the fastest wins dojo points from STEM.

Example Questions: How much does the watermelon weigh?

The watermelon could not stand alone on the scale. Explain in words how the watermelon was weighed.

One picture is the weight of the tray. The other is the weight of the watermelon in the tray.

Depending on the grade, they could round to a whole number or use the decimal. (Pictures are below)

Extra Supply Shop

Ivonne and I are working on organizing the supply donations from Walmart. We will set out things for you to come and "shop" to get any supplies you may need for your class and students.

Classroom Maintenance Request

If you ever need to submit a work order or maintenance request, please email Mr. Soto. Examples: room not being cleaned, items moved from classroom, need a room key, etc.

  • Padlet
  • Polleverywhere,com

If you need help, I will be available on Thursday after school.

Mission Prize- lunch on Friday of conference week AND a chance to win one of THREE teacher supply gift baskets. Para professionals and support staff will be entered in to win a $5.00 Starbucks gift card.
