WELCOME TO THE 2023 - 2024 SCHOOL YEAR!
First Day of School - Tuesday, Sept. 5
On the first day of school, your child will be greeted by a staff member, whether they are dropped off or riding the bus to school, and shown to the gym for our opening assembly. From there, the teachers from your child’s House will show them to their classrooms and hand out schedules.

The safety of our students is our number one priority and we are thankful for the parents and drivers who have been supportive in keeping our parking lots and driveway safe by following the procedures set forth in the video. Flyers are also available in the office. Please let us know if you have any questions about the process and THANK YOU for your compliance.
Getting Ready for Lineville - Cancelled
As a reminder, there are NO Getting Ready for Lineville classes on August 22 or 23 due to construction.
Open House/Welcome to Lineville Event
Lineville will have our Open House/Welcome to Lineville event on Wednesday, August 30th from 4:00pm-6:00pm and Thursday, August 31st from 8:00am-10:00am.
Lineville will not have Open House during the district event on Tuesday, August 29th (by appointment through SignUp Genius).

BUS INFORMATION
Lamers Bus Lines will be mailing a postcard to your home with your child’s bus number, pick-up/drop-off times and location.
All students will be picked up and dropped off at their designated stop assigned by Lamers. If your child has a different pick-up/drop-off location other than home, you will need to fill out a Change of Transportation form available online on the home page under “Transportation” or click here. This form MUST be on file before the first day of school.
Students CANNOT take a different bus home unless there is an emergency situation. Contact Lamers AND the Lineville Office for approval. Bus drivers CANNOT accept notes from parents.

EMERGENCY CLOSINGS AND DELAYS
In addition to District Social Media, local TV/Radio stations and the District Website, HSSD will also send weather-related delays and cancellations via text message.
You may opt in to receive text messages by texting the word YES to 68453. You will receive a confirmation reply within a few minutes of sending your request.
