Emerging Adults
CONGRATULATIONS ALONSE!!!
Hello Emerging Adult Parents and Students of MBSC,
I am so blessed to have the opportunity to grow with, and witness the extraordinary accomplishments of our Emerging Adults. Although I spend most of my time finding out ways that I can impact the lives of our Emerging Adults, the truth is that they often sow into me more than I ever could them. Our Emerging Adults are special in that, along with their academic accomplishments, they have chosen to travel this faith journey. They have chosen to prioritize their spiritual development, and for that I am eternally grateful.
At this moment, I would like for the entire Emerging Adult Most Blessed Sacrament Church community to celebrate Alonse DeGrasse for having completed High School this week. Alonse graduates from KIPP Atlanta Collegiate High School, and will be attending Fort Valley State in the Fall. The Emerging Adult family stands with Alonse, and the DeGrasse family, in knowing that God's grace, and guidance will continue to be with Alonse as she embarks on the next phase of her life journey. Alonse's joyous spirit, and infectious personality is sure to be a blessing to the Fort Valley State community as it has been to the Emerging Adult family.
Alonse, we pray for God's continued hand on your life, and we want you to know that this community is rooting for you every step of the way. We pray that you continue to seek God's Will, and fearlessly engage the wonderful journey that awaits you.
Thank You,
Lyndon Batiste

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS 2017
Refresh ATL
On June 18, 2015, Pope Francis released his Encyclical “Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home.” In it, he challenges us to reflect on the ways we use our resources and care for God’s creation. In support of this Encyclical, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta introduces our “Refresh” campaign, which encourages Pope Francis’ message and engages our community to look at new and exciting ways we can “Care for Our Common Home.”
During this campaign, we will highlight and focus on different aspects of our home and life, which will include themes such as recycling, conservation, family and faith. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta will celebrate the many ways that our parishes and Catholic communities “refresh” and engage others, creating a healthier home for future generations.
Steubenville Atlanta- July 7 - 9, 2017 @ Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, GA
Each summer, Life Teen hosts six different Steubenville Youth Conferences (East, West, NYC, Lone Star, NorCal and Atlanta) with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ. Evangelistic in nature, these weekend conferences are both a great “introduction” to the Gospel message for new or younger teens, while offering deep and moving experiences of prayer and fellowship for even your Youth Group regulars.
Come let our Life Teen Staff and volunteers spoil you – you work so hard for the teens and their families…let us work hard for you. Give your own spirit the gift of renewal and give your teens the inspiration they need to renew not only your youth group but your entire parish community. Join us for a weekend of engaging liturgies, inspiring music, challenging talks and overwhelming joy.
NCYC
The National Catholic Youth Conference will be held November 16–18, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The NCYC, a three day event for Catholic youth, is held in U.S. cities every two years and organized in part by the host diocese of the city. The conference is organized by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM). During the conference, there is music, prayer, workshops, liturgy, and opportunities to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
