Virtual "Open House"/Curriculum Night
Our Dolphin Splash Event on August 26th was a great way to kick off the school year. And, we are looking forward to providing you with a clear vision of what school will look like for your child this year through a virtual Open House/Curriculum night.
By or before Friday, October 2nd, your child's teacher will provide virtual resources that explore the following items:
Overview of the daily schedule
Overview of curriculum
Overview of connection between in-person learning and virtual learning
Expectations for Wednesday learning
Navigating your Canvas page
You will also receive additional virtual resources from me to explore building-wide information that is helpful to know for an amazing school year.
No Birthday Treats
Similar to other differences, please note that children may not bring in edible or non-edible birthday treats for their classmates. Teachers will find a unique and safe way to celebrate birthdays in their classrooms.

Masks
Masks
All staff and children will be expected to wear masks throughout the day. There may be medical exceptions for this, as long as the appropriate documentation is provided. Please make sure your child brings a mask to school each day.
Masks must be a cloth face covering that fits close to the face, over the nose and mouth, fitting snugly below the chin.
Children will NOT be allowed to wear face shields without a mask. The CDC has issued guidance on shields, stating, "It is not known if face shields provide any benefit as source control to protect others from the spray of respiratory particles. CDC does not recommend use of face shields for normal everyday activities or as a substitute for cloth face coverings."
