Charterland is Busy this Fall!
If you are considering a new or expanded charter school plan, you may qualify for the DPI charter schools grant funds. You are welcome to start or expand a charter school without the grant, but the extra start-up funding certainly helps! You can reach out to us for more info, or attend one of the DPI charter grant writing workshops.
If you are thinking about transforming your virtual program into a virtual charter school, you would be allowed to continue serving kids who reside outside of your district in the virtual setting. Please reach out to WRCCS or the DPI charter team for more info soon if you think this describes your situation.
If you are a district currently authorizing charter schools, remember that your annual report is due soon. If you have questions, we have more information here, but also it's best to just reach out to WRCCS or DPI and we can talk over any concerns you may have.
And if you are an educator in any realm, WRCCS is hosting Professional Learning Networks that have been a huge success. Join us to talk about topics that span all schools, such as virtual learning, personalized learning, equity, work-based learning, and environmental learning. Click to learn more and sign up for any and all of these informal learning discussions.
Remember, WRCCS is here to talk about charter schools, school design, performance measures, and much more! Reach out any time, and let us make the most of our grant-funded resources to improve learning throughout the state.
Be well! -Sarah Hackett, WRCCS Director
