Patriot's Pen
Week 34: May 13-17
A Message from Mireles
Our end of year Staff Checkout and countdown calendar will be shared at our Tuesday, Faculty Learning on May 21st.
(There will be no faculty mtgs. on Tuesday, May 14th due to STAAR, May 28th short week or June 4th for sanity purposes.)
We will, however, conduct a Virtual Meeting via google doc for EOY Committee Wrap up and launch ideas for next year the week of May 27th.
The countdown calendar will consist of dates such as:
- Locker Clean outs by grade
- Textbook turn in
- EOY Concerts, performances, field trips, etc.
- Non-nutrition day
- Last day for backpacks
- Last day for P.E. dress out
- All hands on deck for Duty stations etc.
We will also be previewing the Active Shooter district video as a whole campus so IA's, secretary's and all other personnel should plan to be present for viewing. (Viewing will begin at approximately 4:20 pm) The video will be made public on the district's main website along with a letter from Dr. Woods later this summer in time for the start of the school year 2019-20.
If you have any pictures that would fall under the three categories stated in his email please send those to the appropriate person ASAP.
Walking around this week I've noticed many of you have already begun the process of organizing and packing up your rooms for cleaning this summer. Julie will be sending out a google doc for classroom paint touch-ups and other fixer-uppers throughout the summer. Please be prompt when you receive it, remember all campuses will be submitting their requests and its often first come, first serve.
Remember, only 18 days left to make a difference! (Countdown w/purpose)
As you clean the clutter, ask yourself...
