Free Breakfast & Lunch Through December 2020

We are happy to inform you that the USDA has extended the summer food program through December! That means that from Wednesday, Sept. 9th, ALL Richards School Students will receive free breakfast and lunch through December of 2020. Lunch bills will still go out every two weeks but only to those who have an outstanding balance which was accumulated prior to Sept. 9th or last year.

Baseball/Softball Information

Richards vs. Junction Hill Rescheduled

Home games vs. Junction Hill are rescheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Games begin at 1:00 PM and will be held at the Richards Sports Complex.

Running Club

Students in grades 4 - 8 are invited to participate in Running Club! The Club will run very Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 3:45 PM, through the end of the cross country season. Parents should pick up their runner at the Sports Complex Track at 5:00 PM. For more information, contact Ms. Hunsucker.

Murphy Appointed MSBA Vice President


The Missouri School Boards’ Association’s Board of Directors has appointed Ray Murphy, a member of the Richards R-V Board of Education, as Vice President of MSBA. He fills a vacancy in that position created by the resignation of John Craig from the Crawford County R-I Board of Education and from the position of Vice President of MSBA.


Murphy has served on the Richards R-V Board of Education for 13 years and as school board president for six years. He most recently served as the K-8 Representative on the MSBA Board of Directors. He also has served on the MSBA Executive Committee and will continue to serve on the Executive Committee as a state officer for MSBA.


The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a non-profit organization that exists to help school boards ensure all students succeed.
