SUPPLIES:
- You must have the following supplies with you every day:
- A binder for Italian only /or section with:
- 2 folders
- Spiral notebook with holes to fit in binder
- looseleaf
- marble composition notebook (8th Graders Only)
- covered textbook and workbook (contact paper)
- pen and pencil - ALWAYS
- ALL supplies must be present by Monday, September 11, 2017. __________________________________________________________________
GRADING POLICY:
- You will be graded on a variety of assignments; including: writing, group work, tests, quizzes, homework, dialogues, presentations and participation.
- These assignments will be split into the following categories:
- tests , quizzes, & projects (60% of your grade),
- homework (20% of your grade)
- class participation (20% of your grade)
TESTS AND QUIZZES:
- Tests and quizzes must be made up, by appointment, in the event of an absence.
- A contract must be signed, stating when and where you will make up the test.
- Each time you do not show up for your appointment, ten percent will be deducted from your grade. No credit is given after three missed appointments.
- All tests must be returned signed the day after they are given back.
PROJECTS:
- Ten points will be deducted from your grade each day a project or composition is late. No credit is given after 3 days.
HOMEWORK:
- Homework will be collected at the beginning of the period each day.
- Homework will NOT be accepted after the day it is due unless you have an excused absence from class.
- Homework assignments that are checked each day are worth 10 points.
- At the end of each quarter, all homework assignments are averaged together and calculated to equal 20% of your quarter average.
CLASS PARTICIPATION:
- Class participation will be evaluated with the following class-participation rubric at the end of each marking period:
