Young Adult Bible Study

The Young Adult Ministry at St. Benedict Parish (Canandaigua | Bloomfield) is offering a virtual bible study this fall. The bible study begins Sunday, September 12 and will focus on the Book of Romans before moving on through the rest of the New Testament. Young adults will read 4 chapters/week (Sunday to Sunday) at their own pace after which they will have the opportunity to share their thoughts with the group and engage in dialogue with each other if they feel called to. Those interested in participating can access the Google Classroom platform here. It is formatted for grading assignments, so please ignore that. No grades. Everyone gets an A+! The hope is that after working through a few books, there will be a gathering in person to tie it all together and share a meal. For more information, email Ben here.

In this one-of-a-kind product, planning and prayer are blended together to integrate your life with prayer. Tool and building material collections at St. Agnes, St. Rose and St. Paul of the Cross

Pope Francis has declared Dec. 8th, 2020 --Dec. 8th, 2021 as The year of Saint Joseph. Saint Joseph, step-father of Jesus and husband of Mary, was also a carpenter. As such, he needed the tools of his trade. To honor this man of many talents and generosity we are having a tool collection. They do not have to be new tools but should be in proper working condition. The tools collected will be given away through several outlets like St. Michael’s Workshop and Habitat for Humanity to crafts-people who cannot afford to purchase them for themselves. While we were looking into sites to donate these tools, something interesting came to our attention. Due to the pandemic, there is a shortage of building materials. That means that youth groups, school wood working classes and the Boys Scouts are having a hard time finding scrap wood. They use the scrap to learn wood working by making small projects. Consequently, we decided to expand our collection to include scrap wood. There are collection boxes at all 3 churches. You may drop your donations of tools there or call Ellen Hallahan (624-1628) to pick them up. Please contact Ellen to make arrangements about wood donation pick up.

SoulCore at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Brockport

Please wear loose fitting clothing, and bring a water bottle, a yoga/exercise mat and weights if you have them. Chairs will also be available for those who need to use them. There is no cost but a suggested donation of $10, for those who are able. Bring a friend! For more information, click here.
