Background Information
Scott Garrett is the New Jersey representative of district 5. In January of 2013, Scott Garrett became a member of the United States House of Representatives. Before he became a part of the house of representatives, Scott Garrett was an attorney and the chairman of the New Jersey General Assembly Banking. Scott Garrett attended school at Montclair State University where received his Bachelor of Arts degree, and he attended Rutgers School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor.
Political Experience and Committees
Before Scott Garrett became a representative in the House of Representatives, he served as the senior Assemblyman on the New Jersey General Assembly. Scott Garrett is a part of the House Financial Services Committee, and the House Budget Committee. Scott Garrett is also apart of the Sub Committee on Insurance, Housing, and Community Opportunity. Scott Garrett serves on another Sub Committee, the Sub Committee on Capital Markets and Government-Sponsored Enterprises for the House of the Financial Committee as the chairman is the chairman.
