A Message from Dr. Stone
Hello Timberwolf Nation!
Once again, Katy ISD took the lead for the best public middle schools in the Houston area for 2019. Of the top 25 best Houston area middle schools highlighted in a 2019 report from Niche, an education data site, seven of Katy ISD's schools were included, with WoodCreek Junior High taking the 4th spot! So proud! Katy ISD also took the top spot for the school district with the most schools included in a 2019 report of best public elementary schools. Here is the link if you would like to read more about it: Houston's Top 25 Public Middle Schools.
I am so grateful to be a part of this campus and this district. I hope that everyone has a great week!
Regards,
Dr. Melinda Stone

Junior Achievement
- Sign-up to become a volunteer for the 6th grade Junior Achievement (JA) Global Marketplace program today! This program introduces students to the global marketplace and the ways in which countries buy and sell from each other.
- November 28th - Students will gain an understanding of producers and consumers as well as analyze the similarities and differences among countries and the effects of free enterprise.
- Volunteers will be matched with a 6th-grade teacher and will teach one of the hands-on, interactive sessions from the program to his/her class periods during the day. Breakfast and lunch provided.
- JA provides training and all of the materials to make your day a success. All we need is your enthusiasm, life experience, and a willingness to teach children and let JA provide the rest!
Please contact Chesse' McDaris if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. chessedmcdaris@katyisd.org
Parents/Grand Parents “Leave a Legacy” for your WCJH Student
We need to sell a minimum of 550 bricks @ $75.00 each to cover the construction cost to just prepare the grounds and install the pavers.
Blank pavers will be installed to complete the area around the personalized pavers. This will allow personalized pavers to be added for many years to come. Our future goal is to also install 4 tables with seating, benches and eventually a cover.
As you can imagine – this is a huge project. Help us create a beautiful courtyard by purchasing a brick in honor or memory of someone.
You are welcome to send this order form (see below form) to booster clubs, businesses, family members etc. We are accepting any financial donations for the purchase of tables, benches or the covering.
Thank you for your support!
