Consequences
Socially- Financial problems, can not make connections with others unless high on the drug, and become dependent on using ecstasy to enjoy social events.
Physically- Headaches, liver and kidney failure, eye-twitching, blurred vision, severe sweating, seizures, or even death.
Mentally/ Emotionally- Anxiety, confusion, depression, and sleep problems.
Legally- large fines, and/or jail time.
Origin/ Facts
Origin- Ecstasy was developed in Germany in the early 1900s.
Facts- Ecstasy is sometimes mixed with substances such as rat poison. Young people have died from dehydration, exhaustion and heart attack as a result of taking too much Ecstasy.
Target Crowd and Warning Signs
Target- 15 to 17 years old who are at risk of using ecstasy and occasional users.
Warning Signs- Nausea, chills, involuntary teeth clenching, and muscle cramps.
