Reminders & News
- Make sure to read The Exchange for district news and information
- Here is the link for the morning announcements, which begin daily at 8:00 a.m.
- Only two weeks left to nominate kids for the P2P Learner Award (2 per teacher per 9 week grading cycle)
- Here is the link for the Blackshear Dashboard in case you want to pin it to your navigation bar. It is much easier to navigate than the google folders, although both ultimately take you to the same places.
- Looking for the perfect attendance sheets where you color in a letter each day that your class has no absences? They are on the counter in the workroom and you can send it to the library to be added to announcements once you have it completed.
- Make sure you sign up for a Watchdog time slot (3-5 teachers may buddy up in groups of 2).
- Right now, our night custodial crew is missing 2 people so Carmen is all alone. Please be patient with her during the transition as new people are hired.

Upcoming Events
PLC This week (Week of 10/8-10/12)
First 30 minutes: PLC Vacations - Go straight to your first location. Observations are 15 minutes each and the only thing to complete is to scan the teacher's QR code to offer personal feedback. These are meant to be learning observations that can support you in your goals. The exception is kinder teachers who will do their walks during the last 30 minutes of their PLC instead.
Remainder of time: Meet in PLC room for team topics and content area discussions.
**Please note that I am sharing the goals sheet with our staff because we are all open with our goals and have them posted outside of our rooms so that we can support each other as we learn and grow.
If you have someone coming to your room for the first time slot, you were selected as a match to their professional goal. Please keep this in mind for their visit. The second time slots were selected to be content area vertical matches.
These are the days that you may see visitors during PLC time:
Kinder: Wednesday (1:00-1:30)
1st grade: Friday
2nd grade: Monday - will miss vacations this round (sorry :( )
3rd grade: Wednesday
4th grade: Tuesday
5th grade: Thursday
If you have a Task Force Walk, this assignment will be communicated to you by Devi.
PLC Next Week (Week of 10/15-10/19)
