Sierra Verde Weekly Update
May 7, 2021
Down to the Wire
It’s been an extremely busy week here at SV with our final Spirit Week thanks to our fantastic and creative Student Council crew. Our Vipers were showing their spirit all week long and are having fun while continuing to work hard as we draw closer to May 20. We would like to thank all of our parents and PTSO for filling our buckets this week and helping to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week in style.
Next week is our last full week of school and we have many projects, presentations, and finals coming up. We appreciate your efforts to continue with strong attendance all the way through May 20. Additionally we have our NJHS Induction ceremony planned for Monday morning at 8:00 am. We will be sending out the livestream link to the NJHS Induction to families to stream the ceremony in a separate email.

Lost & Found Cleanout
Please have your son/daughter check out the lost and found over the next two weeks, after May 19, we will donate all leftover clothing or belongings still on campus. The lost and found rack will be out in the courtyard for students to browse starting next week.
Summer Medication Pick Up
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is almost here. I want to remind all of those families that have medication in the nurse’s office that it must be picked up by an adult no later than Wednesday, May 19th. I do not keep any medication over the summer. Any medication not picked up will be destroyed after the pick up date.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, and have a wonderful summer!
- Nurse Lynn
A Message from DVUSD
Later this summer, parents of returning students will be able to electronically verify current medical and emergency contact information and update any changes for their student(s) that are currently enrolled. In order to access these important yearly documents, parents will have to have a PowerSchool Parent account set up. ALL PARENTS who HAVE NOT already created a PowerSchool Parent account, NEED TO DO SO ASAP!
This electronic process will replace some of the paperwork that we send home on the first few days of school. We will be sending home PowerSchool Parent Account setup instructions with students. If you need help after receiving the set up instructions or would like to request the instructions, please contact Mariana.Bennett@dvusd.org for details.
Mountain Ridge HS Basketball Summer Camp
Summer is approaching and Mountain Ridge High School is starting their summer camps. Boys Basketball is having a camp for students entering 3rd grade - 9th grade. If your son is interested in learning/playing basketball please read the attached flier. Physicals are NOT required for the camp.
