What's Happening, Patriots?
Miss Louder's Third Grade
Miss Seitz's First Grade
This week, Miss Seitz’s class (and all first graders) went on a missing to find our class stuffed lion, Rasheed, who went missing.
As soon as we realized that Rasheed was missing, we got to work making “MISSING” posters and put them around the school.
We had 3 missions that gave us clues to let us know where he might be. During math, we solved addition and subtraction problems to find a secret message that said, “I am running laps.” We quickly figured out that he was in the gym.
Luckily, we got to the gym in time to find him resting after running his laps and brought him back to our class. Many students were heard saying “This was the best day ever.”
Mrs. Tadrous' Discovery Class
For the first half of the second quarter of this school year, students are learning about the Zones of Regulations. They learn how, when faced with challenges, to find a calming strategy that can help them regain control over their feelings and emotions.
Students also are participating in activities that serve the theme of Conflict-Resolution.
These are some pictures that highlight the educational and fun activities.
"Which Zone would I be in if ...." cards game.

Car Rider Line
We need your assistance to ensure a safe beginning of the school day. Recently there has been an increase in students arriving late to school by car.
If you are bringing your child to school after the start of the school day (7:40am), you must walk your child into the office to sign in. There is a significant safety concern if a child is dropped off in front of the building without adult supervision. Students arriving after 7:40 will be marked as tardy, and we need to be sure they are safely received and noted as arriving to school. This is done when the adult dropping off the child signs the child in at the office.
Please help us ensure the safety of all students by following these important late arrival procedures. Thank you for your help.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jimmie Lake, Chief Operations Officer, at 317-594-4100 or jlake@hse.k12.in.us
