It's Summertime
School is soon over and the summer will begin. Whether you are vacationing, stay-cationing , or just spending time at home, take some time to relax and recharge. Read a book, spend time on a hobby, and make time for one another. Summer is a wonderful time to regroup because school will be open again before you know it!
FREE Summer Meals
Visit the high school on Monday-Thursdays from 11:00am to 12:30pm and all children 18 years and younger will receive a free meal.
Updates from the School Nurse Department
Summer is the perfect time to get organized and make sure that your child has all of their requirements for the following school year, especially vaccinations, physicals, and dental exams. Please check out the UMTSD Nurse's Page for more information.

Our nursing staff will be available to accept medications for the 2019-2020 school year on August 28th and 29th. Please plan to bring any daily medication that your child requires to school on these days. All medications must be in their original containers and must be accompanied by a physician note and a parent permission form. If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse.
Safe Schools Update
Upper Moreland held a Safe Schools Advisory Committee meeting on April 24th to provide information to the community and to hear feedback from parents and community members. For additional information on topics discussed, please check out the Safe Schools section of the website.

Are You Moving?
If you do move, make sure to contact our administrative office at 215-830-1514 to request that your child's records are sent to their new school.
Fun Activities for the Summer Break
Here are some great activities to stay engaged with your children during those long and hot days.
- Take a bike ride.
- Make an ice cream sandwich out of a waffle.
- Watch a movie under the stars.
- Take a mini road trip just to eat something amazing.
- Make ice cream from scratch.
- Start an herb garden.
- Throw a party with a DIY Hot Dog Bar.
- Go berry picking.
- Have a bowl of cold soup on a hot day.
- Make banana Nutella s'mores.
- Eat blueberry pie.
- Snack on the beach.
- Grill a steak.
- Freeze something fun into your ice cubes. Think gummy worms, gummy fish, etc.
- Eat watermelon on a stick.
- Go on a picnic.
- Check out your local library and get into a great book.
