Welcome Back
Are you ready for the Best School Year Yet? EVERYONE Counts!
Welcome Back
We are planning the Best School Year Yet! Our crew have a renewed energy to bring fun and engagement to the classroom on a daily basis. You may even hear us talk about teaching like pirates! We plan to bring the passion, immersion, rapport, ask/analyze, transformation, and enthusiasm to all we do this year. We want our students excited to come to school on day 2 (and the next day, and the next...)
We've added a Chromebook cart for Kindergarten to grade 2 and students in grades 3-8 will still have 1-1 devices. The Chromebooks will be helpful as we launch the MAP Growth testing this year to replace Terra Nova. The MAP testing is completed on the computer by all students and will allow teachers to have immediate testing results that will be used to inform teaching and provide intervention strategies to help all of our students succeed.
This newsletter is full of lots of information and back to school forms. Hard copies of most items will be coming home in a back to school envelope on the first day of school. Please be sure to fill out a new Emergency Card and return to school. Other items in the back to school envelope include: spirit wear and magnet order forms, Boonli registration letter for school lunches (see below), hard copies for form sign offs if you prefer hard copies as opposed to the online form.
