MILES FOR MEGHAN

On June 3rd we will be walking as a community to honor Meghan and raise money for the courtyard. Miles for Meghan will be held at Kipling School, 700 Kipling Place, Deerfield between 9:30-11am. Please join us at this family event to celebrate Meghan's life. The suggested donation for the walk is $10/person ($25/family) and can be made through this site.

All votes are due in by Tuesday May 15th. All ballots not returned by the designated date will be counted in favor of the proposed slate. (PTO Bi-laws: Article V, Section 2, I)
ROOM PARENTS NEEDED FOR 2018/2019 SCHOOL YEAR
The room parent committee is now collecting names for room parents for the 2018/2019 school year! Each teacher will have two room parents. **Room parents will be required to attend an evening informational meeting in August and Open House. Room parent responsibilities include collecting money for classroom parties and teacher gifts, coordinating volunteers, and serving as classroom liaison, which includes communicating with the teacher and class parents. Room Parents will be assigned the week before school starts once class lists are communicated. Please e-mail Stephanie Blumberg- stephdubin@yahoo.com with the name and grade of your child next year, and include YOUR name, email, and phone number If you have multiple children at Walden, please list all grades and preference. STUDENT PHILANTHROPY CLUB FAIR
The Student Philanthropy Club, Give Smile, Repeat is hosting a school-wide fair on
Wednesday, May 30th from 2:30-3:30pm in the Walden Gym.
All proceeds will benefit the World Wildlife Fund.
Students will be selling crafts, toys, baked goods, and other collectable items ranging in price from 25 cents to $1.00. Please come to support our student's efforts.

This is the last collection date of the year. Winners will receive a party and temporary custody of the Walden Box Top traveling trophy.
