Hillcrest PTO News
Hello Hillcrest families!
I hope this start-of-the-school year has been a wonderful one for all of you so far! Now that the school year is in full-swing, the Hillcrest PTO is ready to have some fun with our first family-friendly {and FREE} event of the year – FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT! We hope you’ll join us on Friday, October 26th at 5:30 pm for popcorn, movies, and tons of free family fun right here at Hillcrest! Come in costume or even in your pajamas {pillows and blankets are encouraged, too}! We will be showing Hotel Transylvania 3 in the gym, and there will also be an alternate movie in the library for younger kids as well. We hope to see all of you there!!!
We have a few more exciting PTO events coming up in the next few months that we’d love to see our Hillcrest families participating in! First, on November 3rd we will be hosting our 8th Annual Hillcrest Elementary Craft and Vendor Show. With over 40 crafters and vendors, free chair massages, and amazing raffle prizes, this event promises to be a lot of fun! If you are interested in participating as a vendor or volunteer please feel free to reach out to us at CFHillcrestPTO@gmail.com. We are also still collecting donations from local businesses for our raffle, so if you know a business that would like to contribute we would be so appreciative of the support! You can also help by following and sharing the event page on Facebook, too. We hope you can join us for this wonderful event!
As winter is beginning to creep up on us, we are also starting to get ready now for the Hillcrest Holiday Store. For those who aren’t familiar with this fundraiser, we collect donations from all of YOU of new or like-new items that you no longer need, and these donated items will be made available to all of our Hillcrest students to shop for the special adults in their lives. Items will be priced at $1 each, **but all students get the chance to pick two items regardless of donation**! Starting now, we are asking our Hillcrest families and staff to bring in their donations of adult-friendly, great-condition items to the school for this year’s Holiday Store. We especially need “dad-gifts”, as we always run out of those fastest! Some items we would love to see more of {because the kids always choose them first for dads} include: socks, tools, coffee mugs, hand warmers, anything sports-, hunting-, or fishing-related. We will also happily take donations of gift bags for this event as well. We are so grateful for the wonderful support we receive from our Hillcrest families with this event every year.
If you haven’t yet, please head over to CF Hillcrest PTO on Facebook to stay up-to-date with all our events and Hillcrest news. We are so proud to serve the students, staff, and families here at Hillcrest. Thank you for supporting Hillcrest Elementary PTO!
Katie Bushman,
Your 2018-2019 Hillcrest PTO President

Lost & Found
Three times a year we make a BIG push for students and parents to identify items that have been placed in the lost pile. These items after the many reminders of claiming their item are then washed and donated to charity.
