STAFF OF THE WEEK!!!!
KUDOS
Ms. Maria Rodriguez, Ms. Thomason, Ms. Bague, Mr. Torres, Mr. Hernandez, Mr. Gonzalez, Ms. Bernal, Ms. Berkins, Ms. Gomez (just to name a handful!) and all Pre-K through 2nd Grade teachers for continuing to push your students hard! Wow! ACPs, istation testing, SLOs, and more are coming up soon-- and it is clear you remain focused on getting your scholars ahead of the game! Keep reaching beyond the test to get your kids started on THE NEXT grade level! ***We need to get ALL of our lower school scholars reading and completing math work at or above grade level by the end of 2nd Grade. We can't stop until we are there!
Ms. Rodriguez in 3rd for maximizing instructional time by quizzing students on math facts fluency during dismissal!
To all the teachers who gave up Saturday to help grow brains! We had a nice showing!
Ms. Arreguin for the outstanding earth day essays outside her classroom. Third graders using transition words and writing beautifully-- nice work!
Ms. Gonzalez in 1st for developing some outstanding instructional materials involving grammar, writing, reading fluency, phonics, comprehension, punctuation and more!
Mr. Lentz for achieving a near perfect 97% enrollment rate on parent portal! Truly a job well done!
Mr. Thomas for leading his TAG students to developing incredible creative writing essays on their own utopian cities. Well done!
Ms. Bahena, Mr. Villegas, and Ms. Clark for serving as interventionists throughout the weekB Thank you for stepping in to provide that additional small group support when it is needed most!

STAAR Testing Meeting on Thursday May 5th at 3:20pm in the Library for Pre-K - 5th grade teachers, CIC's, Resource Teachers and Resource TA's and all Specials Teachers.
Group A Summatives: Your evaluator will send you an calendar invite.
Happy Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! Don't forget to dress comfortably throughout the week! See the handout that was sent out earlier in the week for the day by day breakdown of festivities.
5 days of school + 1 Saturday school day before STAAR. We got this! Thank you for maintaining a focus while also building confident kids! Remember: Celebrate the incredible growth of your scholars! Please send Mr. Hall the names of students you would like to recognize for GRIT.
TEI Update: Summative Self Reflections due to your TEI Developer's box by Monday close of business. Summative Conferences will begin mid-week. You will receive a calendar invite in the next three weeks with an invite to yours. See the email from last week with all the important upcoming deadlines and documents you need to finish the school year off strong (Summatives, SLOs, Roster Verification, and PD plan due soon!).
Notice: Thursday 5/5 is the last tutoring day for the spring semester (and last day after-tutoring buses will come). Saturday 5/7 is the last Saturday for the spring semester (8 to noon).
CIC CORNER
- STAAR Pep Rally is Friday!!!! Double check your handout (given at the Staff Meeting last Wednesday) for your grade-level assignment.
OFFICE CORNER
