Dismissal Changes/Reminders

Just a friendly dismissal change reminder..... Your preferred method of choice for your student to go home should have already been established. You are allowed to make changes to your preferred method quarterly.

Now, if you have an emergency and need to make a change, you can make your change no later than 2pm with the front office.

Please know that this rule is put into place to help aide in the safety and security of all students and help with staff organization at the end of the day.

Please remember this when thinking about going home changes.

Big picture

Car Name Tags

It is important to note that for pickup after school for ALL car riders, we need you to have a name tag sign with your student's first and last name. This helps us officially call students and direct them to the correct cars.

This can be done a couple of ways:

1) You can label a paper plate and put it on your dash or you can label a manila folder and hang it from your car visor. Please make sure whatever method you choose you write nice and big so teachers can read.

Please make sure if your student is a car rider you pick one of the options from above!

Thank you!

No Pets Please

When picking up or dropping off your student, please remember we do NOT allow any pets on the grounds. I have seen some adorable pups out there, but please keep them off the property. This helps keep everyone safe....even though I am sure all your dogs are safe and friendly, we do have some students on campus that are afraid of certain animals.

If you choose to bring your pet along for the ride in the car at drop off or pickup, that is fine....your furry friend will be safe in the car out of harm's way!

Thank you for remembering this important rule!

Tie Dye Day

Next Friday we will participating in our annual Riverview Tie Dye Day! YAY! It is pretty simple this year, please send with your student to school a white t-shirt in their size by next THURSDAY AUGUST 25th.

We have students use these shirts throughout the year, for special activities, field trips and much more! Plus it is just a fun group activity for students to participate in at their grade level. Please keep in mind that this shirt should be big enough to grow with the student as students wear them throughout the ENTIRE year.

Looking forward to seeing all of those colorful shirts!

Coming Soon.... Cafe Reservations

I am very happy to announce that we will have a visitor's table for parents who would like to come and have lunch with their child this year. We do have limited space with this new arrangement so lunch visits will be by reservation. A sign up genius will be coming soon for your reservations.

Lunch visits should be a special time to spend between you and your child. Classmates will not be allowed to sit at the visitor table. Visits should be limited to allow as many parents in the community to participate as possible. There will be two available "visitor spots" per lunch period per day starting after Labor Day. When you arrive for lunch at your scheduled time, please sign in at the office and we'll give you a visitor's sticker. When you leave, please sign-out.

I'm looking forward to having you dine with us once again!

Sincerely,
Principal Turpin

Lunchroom Aide Position Available at RE

Do you LOVE to listen to happy children's voices, open small food packages and get dozens of sticky hugs on the daily? We have a lunchroom aide position available at Riverview from 11:00-1:30 daily. If you have a friend who might want to split the job with you, we could probably work that out! We're looking for positive energy to join our fast-paced work environment.
