Donations
YOU can make the world a better place by donating more.
Donating
You can donate a lot nowadays. There are also more people in need of these donations. You can donate things like clothes, food, blood, and many other essentials that people may need to survive. You can also donate things like your time to volunteer in shelters and food banks.
Blood Donations
It's been proven that 1 in every 3 people will need a blood transfusion in a lifetime. Donating blood could even save a life. Blood is one of the most important things you can donate in this world today.
Food Donations
Many people all over the world are starving, and don't know when their next meal will be. Many local food banks and charities are accepting donations of food, from boxed cereal to canned beans. Donating food can help someone feed their family, and prevent them from starving to death.
Clothing Donations
Every day, millions wake up and don't have a clean set of clothes to change into. Donating clothes may not seem as important as other essentials, like food, but people around the world are struggling to find new clothes to wear. Donating your old clothes to charity can really make a difference in someone's life.
Volunteering
You can volunteer your time to work at many charities, or other community organizations. Volunteering is a great way to help out the people who need it most in your area. Non-profit organizations like the Red Cross and the Salvation Army allow you to give back to your community, and help people who can't afford basic essentials. Volunteer today, and help out someone in need!
The American Red Cross
This organization is one that specializes in military and military family support, along with world-wide disaster relief. Blood and cash donations are mainly what the Red Cross asks for and receives. The Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian network. The organization has about 13 million volunteers in more than 187 countries.
The Salvation Army
This organization actually specializes in pretty much everything humanitarian. Their services include, but are not limited to, adult rehabilitation, veterans affairs services, prison ministries, elderly services, missing persons, hunger relief, housing and homeless services, and world disaster relief. With more and more Americans being not able to afford basic necessities, the Salvation Army has helped around 30 million people in the past year.
Goodwill
Goodwill is an organization that not only provides necessities to those not able to afford much else, but it also provides jobs for those people. Goodwill asks that you will donate your old clothes, and household possessions, and will then sell them at an affordable price to pay off their employees.
