What is happening in RM 16?
Week of April 30th
Coming up this week...
Reading: For the next couple weeks, I will be working on individual reading assessments, so we will not be doing reading groups. Please make sure your child brings their read-to-self book to school every day so that they can be productive during their independent reading time.
Writing:
We are having lots of fun learning about figurative language! So far, we have learned about similes, metaphors, idioms, and personification. We will continue our learning on these this week!
Math: We will be applying multiplication and division to word problems.
Social Studies: We are wrapping up our studies of immigration this week with the big question- America: Land of immigrants? OR Land of Americans? Ask your child what they think!
Science: We will begin our ecosystems unit talking about habitats, interactions and populations.
MAP Testing Quickly Approaching
**If your child has a pair of headphones at home that they are able to bring to school it would be helpful. We are short on numbers. Thank you in advance!
