John believed in and was inspired by the doctrine of predestination. John Calvin supported Martin Luther in Germany, he was martin Luther's successor. Most of John's work was in Switzerland, and some was in Germany. People responded very well to his believes and actions. In fact they made a new branch formed out of his beliefs. He was the most important figure in the second generation of the protestant reformation.
