Middle School Survey Parent/Guardian Focus Group

In October, the Central Bucks School District asked our district community to reflect on the current middle school academic schedule. A survey was developed by the district administration and sent via e-mail blast, Facebook, and Twitter to parents, guardians, and secondary students. The feedback from that survey has been compiled. Additionally, student and teacher focus groups were assembled at each of the five middle schools in November. Follow up questions were posed to each of the groups across the five middle schools in order to help dig deeper into the survey data. The MS survey and teacher/student focus group data has been released to the public and is now displayed on the district/school webpages.

The Central Bucks School District invites all parents and guardians to attend a focus group session at their respective middle school in order to engage in further conversation regarding the middle school academic schedule. The parent/guardian focus group session for Tamanend Middle School will take place on Monday, January 23rd, in the Tamanend Auditorium beginning at 7 PM. At the meeting, data will be shared and questions asked in order to further understand the survey data.

Congratulations to You!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Tamanend Middle School the top per-student sales school in CBSD for the Magazine and Cookie Dough Drive! The prize... the Super Bling Duck!

Tiger Growth

Good news for our mascot namesakes! For the first time in a century, the tiger population has increased. According to the WFF, in 2016, the number of tigers grew from about 3,200 to 3,890. Through a program called Tx2 started in 2010, the goal is to double the tiger population by 2022.

Diversity & Acceptance

On Tuesday, January 10th, we will welcome Dr. Michael Fowlin, a nationally recognized speaker on diversity and acceptance, to speak to our students and staff. Following Dr. Fowlin's presentation, we will talk in Tiger's Eye groups about what we learned and how it applies to our Tamanend school community.
