Device Protection Plan
There is no cost associated with 1:1 Technology Program. Parents/Guardians have the opportunity to purchase a protection plan through the district. The plan will cost $30 per device each school year, which includes an initial repair (additional repairs if needed will be $20 per incident), and limits the fee for replacement. Parents/ Guardians who choose not to purchase the Device Protection Plan are 100% responsible for all repair and replacement costs.
It is recommended that parents purchase the Device Protection Plan to minimize any costs that may arise during the school year. Payment for the Device Protection Plan must be made by Friday, September 11 to be active for the 2020-2021 school year. Payment can be made online through TouchBase or at the Bookstore.
Please remember:
- The plan must be renewed every year for returning students.
- The plan must be purchased by Friday, 9/11.
IT Solutions!
District IT has provided us with some solutions to the intermittant system issues you may experience with Google Meets:
- Once on google meet, hit the lock button to the left of the web address, make sure that camera is "allowed", mic is "allowed" and sound is "allowed". If sound is not under the lock, you will need to click the gear that reads "site settings" and scroll down until you see the option for sound. It needs to say "allow" and NOT "automatic / default".
- Make sure there are no other tabs open on Chrome
- Make sure you have the right link for the right class/time for Google Meets
- Make sure music and other programs are not running at the same time
- Make sure you are selecting Integrated Camera while on zoom/Google Meet
- Update Chrome Browser: Navigate to the 3 vertical dots in top right corner of web browser screen, Find "help" and click on it, Find "About Chrome" and click on it, once on the About Chrome Screen, navigate to Chrome Updates and "check for updates".
- Power Off your chromebook, do not shut the lid, hold down the power button until the screen goes black. Wait 15seconds, then power it back up.
If none of these steps work, please, ask the students to fill out this form Student Help Request so that we can evaluate the Chromebooks one by one.

Students have access to the form until Wednesday, August 12 at 3:30 pm. After this date, no additional requests will be considered, without a parent, student, teacher meeting first being held. Counselors have until the 10th day of school to complete course changes
***Change of Course Request may not be accommodated due to class size & availability.***
- Change of Course Request for a specific teacher, lunch, or to match a friend’s schedule will not be considered.
- This change is for the entire school year. No additional changes will be made, in October or January.
- Classes taken over the summer will be changed once an official transcript is obtained with the completed course listed.
