A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week of September 9, 2019

A Message from Principal Grey

Dear Grant Community,

This Friday is our Grant School Family BBQ, Ice Cream Social and Book Fair Event! I would like to extend an invitation to each and every family to attend this fun community-building event at our school. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and make new connections as well. Many of our amazing teachers will be serving up ice cream sundaes and a DJ will be there to play music and host games for students and families. To top off a great evening of dinner, dessert and dancing, stop by our book fair to say hello to Mrs. Crysdale and check out the fantastic selection of books we have available.

Looking forward to spending time with you all!

Ms. Grey

Fall Book Fair underway, 9/9-13

The Book Fair will stay open late to accommodate customers on September 13th, the same night as the PTA BBQ and Ice Cream Social. Come check it out...or check it out online! You will find the books for sale in addition to an e-wallet (a way to give your child money to buy some books without worrying about cash rolling around in backpacks and getting lost.

It's a big night at Grant with the PTA BBQ, the Ice Cream Social and the last night of the Book Fair. Come enjoy dinner, compliments of the Grant PTA. This night is about building our community, making connections and making Grant a place of friendship. Don't forget your chairs, blankets and water bottles from home (to cut down on plastic waste, we won't be providing water.)

*While you're on campus, please take a moment to check the lost & found rack outside the multi.

*There are still spots available! We need your help scooping ice cream, refilling topping bowls, keeping the lines moving and keeping things tidy. Here's the Sign-Up Genius and thank you for your support!

Picture Days, 9/19 & 9/20

This year Grant is going to use a wonderful new school picture company called Mugsy Clicks. This Marin based company will be taking photos of our Grant students on 9/19 and 9/20 and your child's teacher will let you know which one is your picture day. There are some great tips on the website that might help you prepare.

We are so excited about many components of Mugsyclicks, and one thing we are looking forward to the most is the fact you will be able to view several different portraits of your student online after your photo days and choose the ones you like best. You will then be able to order packages of photos right off of their website. More information will be sent home closer to our picture days.
