All-School Mass
Just like last year I am asking students to put an envelope in the all-school Mass collection. On the envelope students are expected to write something that they are offering to God for the week. This is an opportunity to express thanks for a blessing or dedicate an action or activity to God.
There is absolutely NO expectation that any money be included in the envelope. With that said, some students do include some change. Just like last year, any money collected will be donated to our sister school/parish in Haiti. These funds will be used to help provide a Catholic education for the children there.
Thank you,
Mr. Moeller

More Eclipse News
The fifth graders created a scale model of the sun, Earth, and moon. This allowed them to see that about 109 Earths could fit along the diameter of the sun. Also, about 4 of Earth's moon could fit along Earth's diameter. This model helped the students understand the huge difference in size between the moon and the sun. It also lead to a discussion of how the tiny moon could hide the huge sun in a solar eclipse.

Nurse's News--Hand, Foot, & Mouth Disease
Parents,
Please remind your kids to practice good hygiene and wash their hands frequently. As more germs make their way through the classrooms, hopefully this will help decrease the spread of them from student to student. Please see the letter below for more information.
