Bond Update
Thank you for your support in the recent election! Conroe ISD voters turned out to pass three of the four propositions in Bond 2023. The three propositions total $1.973 billion, 98.8% of the funds in Bond 2023, and will have a two-cent impact on the tax rate. Updates will be shared on social media, in Board Meetings and posted to conroeisd.net/bond. We will also share campus-specific project updates in our newsletters. We are so excited about the great things to come!
Holiday Parties
- Only 1 adult per child.
- No younger siblings.
- You may check your child out with the classroom teacher after the party but the person MUST be listed on the child's emergency contact page.
Homeroom teachers will be in contact regarding details about their classroom party.

Updated Cell Phone Policy
The Conroe ISD Board adopted new guidelines regarding student cell phone use during the October Board meeting. While it is not a substantial guideline change at the elementary level, there are changes in which parents need to be aware. Our Foundations team is working to ensure that these procedures are being implemented on our campus and that we are helping students adapt to these changes. The student handbook is currently being updated to reflect these changes. The new guidelines state the following:
Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.
Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.
Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks, lockers, or other designated storage areas and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.
Use of cell phones and smartwatches may be permitted in extenuating circumstances with permission from a staff member. (ex. to notify parent/ guardian of a late bus)
GT Nomination - LAST DAY 12/15
Bartlett Elementary Rezone

Note from the Counselors
Counselor Corner:
Managing emotions is key to mental health and happiness. It's healthy to be aware of feelings and how to handle them. Encourage your child to talk about their emotions, whether happy or sad or angry. Help your child learn words to describe them. As Daniel Tiger sings, “Use your words to say how you feel!” The whole family can then learn more about feelings by playing games and activities together.
When kids have big emotions, it can be difficult for them to listen and learn at that moment. Give them some space to calm down. Then talk about what happened and what they can do differently next time. It's helpful to talk about feelings when things are calm, so your child can practice how to manage them when things get tough. Our goal as counselors is to help our students become kind, empathetic and emotionally intelligent young people. Here is one way that you can help foster emotional intelligence at home:
Practice Identifying Emotions and Have Conversations About the Emotions
Need Assistance? Please inform the counselors of your family’s needs by completing the GoogleForm. We will try our best to fulfill, but know that by completing this form, it does not guarantee assistance. Thank you for understanding. https://forms.gle/XXJ6sJGZeMcwbtVH8
Are your kids struggling to get up in the morning? Here are some tips to help your child wake up excited and ready to learn:
Create and be consistent with a bedtime routine.
Make sure they are getting enough sleep (See picture below)
Minimize screen time at least 2 hours before bed. The blue light affects our brain and our ability to fall asleep quickly.

Bus Arrival Text Notification Option for Parents/Guardians
Conroe ISD Transportation now has the capability to send parents/guardians bus stop arrival text notifications. For information on how to register for optional parent notifications go to the link below or scan the QR code and click the SMART tag™ Parent Portal Registration link. Once you are at our website, follow the instructions to start receiving text notifications when your child’s bus is approximately 15 minutes away from the designated stop.
https://www.conroeisd.net/transportation/smart-tag/
Important Information:
1) The Smart tag™ Parent Notification system works effectively when drivers are able to follow their routes exactly as they are designed in the District’s routing system. When there is a situation such as a wreck, weather issue, etc., the route may be impacted. The driver may need to deviate from their designated path and approach the bus stop from another direction. If there is a deviation in the direction, the system may not send out the 15-minute arrival notification. Please contact your feeder Transportation Center if this occurs on a regular basis.
2) To access and receive your child’s bus stop information, you must create an account through the Smart Tag Parent Portal link above.
3) Instructional videos, links to additional information, and a Q&A section can also be found in the Smart Tag Parent Portal.
4) We ask for patience as we analyze incoming data and make necessary adjustments during implementation of the Smart Tag system.
