Reflection Corner: A Grace-filled Easter

A Grace-filled Easter! Jesus’ death shattered his disciples' hopes and dreams. They had hoped that He was the one to redeem Israel. They saw the cross as defeat and could not understand the empty tomb until the Lord appeared to them. As Christians, we have been blessed by our understanding that Jesus is intimately close to us. How often do we recognize the Lord when He speaks to our hearts and opens His mind to us? Do we allow his words and His Eucharistic presence transform our lives?

Prayer: "May the Lord free us from being Christians without hope, who live as if the Lord were not risen, as if our problems were the centre of our lives." Pope Francis

Welcome back! Hope that we all had time to rest, enjoy, spend some good quality time with your loved ones. As we return from our Easter break, we know how the remainder of the school year could go quite fast. Let's make sure that our youngsters remain focused as they always should. Let's get it rolling!

OLM Geography Bee Champion finished 5th in the Statewide Competition

We are very proud of seventh grader Brian Benito, OLM Geographic Bee Champion, for representing our school very well in the Statewide Geographic Bee. There were 753 schools that participated in the local Geographic Bee Competitions and only 104 students qualified to compete in the State Geographic Bee. Brian, one of the 104 students who competed at Fresno State University, ended up in fifth place. Such great news for our OLM community! What a great accomplishment, indeed! Great job, Brian!

Kindergarten Presentation

On Friday, April 15th, the Kindergarten families are invited to come see OLM’s annual Kindergarten dance performance. This year’s theme is Disney. Our kindergarteners have been working very hard to bring you a magical experience. Older students will get a sneak preview earlier in the day so this performance will be strictly for parents, grandparents, and family members. The kindergarten dance performance will begin at 1:30 pm in the church hall. Doors will open at 1:15 and saving seats will NOT be allowed. Please no flash photography during the performances because it can be very distracting to our students on stage. All pictures and videos should be taken from your seats. We look forward to seeing you there!
