Free meals for all students will not continue for the 2022-2023 school year. We encourage families to complete a Free and Reduced Lunch Application below or online at Family Portal.

Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call the appropriate attendance line if your child will be missing school.

Columbia Athletics

All fall sports begin on August 8th. Below are a few key reminders for families and student-athletes.

Every student-athlete must have a new physical on file (examined post 4/15/22). Henry Ford Health Jackson is conducting physicals at Concord High School (8/2) and Hanover Horton High School (8/4) from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. $20 cash or check only.

Student Pass: $50.00
Adult: $75.00
Family Pass: $175.00 (two students and two adult passes. Max of $200.00 if a family needs to purchase additional student passes)

Athletic passes are valid for admission to all home athletic events for the year, excluding MHSAA District, Regional, or State games.

Stop by the athletic office to purchase your pass starting Thursday, August 4th.

Annual event to kick off the school year. All high school fall student-athletes will be introduced. Food trucks and games will be available for entertainment.

Rachel's Challenge Family Presentation

On August 25th at 6:00 p.m. Columbia School District families are invited to join us for a presentation from Rachel's Challenge. The presentation will be held in the Cholumbia Central Jr -Sr High school auditorium.

Rachel's Challenge is a national nonprofit organization focusing on K-12 academic and social-emotional learning. Rachel's Challenge is designed to work with current Columbia School District programs to create a connection between students, faculty, and staff. Volunteer Release Form

All volunteers must complete the Columbia School District Volunteer Release Form/Background Check annually. Any adult who plans to chaperone school field trips, attend classroom parties, volunteer in classrooms, assist with sporting teams/extracurricular clubs, etc., must complete the Volunteer Release Form and provide a photo ID. Forms can be completed in any District Office.

Latchkey is a before and after-school child care program in Columbia Elementary School. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade can attend this program from 6:30 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. ($8) and from 2:55-5:00 p.m. ($8) or 2:55-6:00 p.m. ($10). There is an annual, non-refundable $30 registration fee per family to guarantee a spot. A child must be pre-registered before using the Latchkey program.
