~ IMPORTANT NOTES ~

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Welcome Back to School!

The beginning of school has been simply wonderful! Seeing the children's happy faces on both Thursday and Friday, as well as this whole week has been the most special part of my job.

Thank you to everyone who made this first full week of school amazing. Thank you parents and students for being so patient and understanding with all of the paperwork, bus schedules, and new routines. Thank you to the PTO for the wonderful Ice-Cream Social that welcomed our newest members of the Cambridge community. Thank you to the staff for working so hard to prepare exciting and memorable moments of learning. I am deeply humbled by the Cambridge Family!

Today, we will be celebrating those students who completed the SUMMER READING CHALLENGE: Read Like a Pirate, Books are Treasures! There are almost 100 students who participated and I cannot wait to meet them for a pirate-tastic lunch!

Finally, please note that our annual "Back to School" nights are this coming week. The Pre-school Program will host parents on Wednesday, September 17th. The next night, Thursday, September 18th, we will host our Kindergarten through 5th Grade parents to learn more about this year's curriculum and programming. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Mrs. Capes :)

CAMBRIDGE GIVES BACK!

Cambridge School is filled with dedicated and caring staff members who serve our school community each and every day. They also go beyond our school and seek to serve the greater population. To the right and below are a few of the amazing staff members who recently served dinner at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. We are looking forward to going back again at the end of this month.

5th GRADE FUND

Do you know what the 5th Grade Fund is? It's money that the PTO spends to celebrate our 5th Grade students as they attend their last year at Cambridge School. Even if your child is not a 5th grader this year, you should support this sale because one day your child WILL be a 5th grader at Cambridge School and the PTO will celebrate them as well!

As part of the 5th Grade Fund, the PTO provides FREE to each 5th Grade Student:

- Special 5th Grade T-Shirts with each student's signature

- Yearbooks

- Refreshments at the 5th Grade Farewell

- Funds to offset the cost of the 5th Grade Trip
