Pearl Harbor attacked
On the morning on December 7, 1941 Japanese millitary launched an attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The battle was a long 2 hours and after it was over the Japanese left more than 2,400 Americans dead, 21 sunken ships and more than 188 U.S. aircrafts destroyed. Abandoning their previous policy of isolationism, the United States brought themselves into World War ll and officially declared war on the Japanese.
