Course Selection for the 2022-2023 School Year Is Upon Us
Happy New Year Raiders!! It is time to schedule courses for next school year! Teachers have already inputted course recommendations in major subjects (math, science, history and ELA). Courses that are mandatory are also pre-scheduled into student requests. However, students must request electives, including Advanced Placement coursework, that they intend to take next year. Students should select a few electives, in the event that they cannot get into their first choice.
On Friday, January 21, 2022, during BRB, we will be explaining the course selection process to all underclassmen. Students will need to select their classes for next year by Friday, January 28, 2022. To begin reviewing our program of studies and course offerings for next year, please click the link which will bring you to the information on our website.
We ask all students and their families to have discussions regarding coursework for next year and review the course offerings so that students can make good, informed choices. We determine which courses will run and the number of sections for each course based on these selections. Students will not be able to potentially get into classes that they do not select as choices or alternates after this point in time.
If a student or family has any questions, please call or email your guidance counselor for additional support.

Mid Year & Final Exams
The final exam half day schedule in June, however, will not be changing. Students will still have a summative assessment on this day that will be the final assessment of their fourth term grade. Learning and review will continue in classes up until the week of summative assessments and will culminate with this assessment. It is imperative that students attend these assessment periods in June as this assessment may significantly impact their fourth term grade. Teachers will be providing more information as the date gets closer but please understand that every class in a student schedule will have an assessment associated with them. There will be a make up period at the end of the week for students who miss one of their exams. Students who have attended all of their summative assessments on time in June do not need to attend the make up assessment period.
Attention Class of 2022--Final call for John & Abigail Adams Scholarship/ Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery
For any student in the senior class that wants to take the MCAS for scholarship purposes, please see the message below from the Department of Education. Please note: The Class of 2022 is exempt from the MCAS requirement for purposes of graduation. This is ONLY if you want to attempt to qualify for the scholarship/certificate.
In recognition of 2021 being a disrupted school year, DESE is permitting students in the classes of 2022 and 2023 to participate in the March 2022 MCAS retests for scholarship purposes. All students attempting to qualify for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and/or the Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery must have MCAS scores in ELA and Mathematics.
Please note: If you are a member of the Class of 2022 and have already taken the test for qualifying purposes, you do not retest again now. This is a "last call" for anyone that still has not participated and wishes to do so.
If you are interested in having your child qualify and take the test, please fill out the attached Google Form.
