Literacy Connections
A Weekly Round Up of Literacy Links & Resources
March 30, 2015
This week I'm highlighting VoiceThread, another free tech platform that is very user friendly. You'll also find a link to information about the upcoming Cape AuthorFest. Posts on reading process, writing non-fiction, and reading nonfiction round out this week's links. Often during the month of April, many classrooms launch into units of study on poetry so this week's book recommendations include poetry books for all grade levels.
Happy Reading!
Susan
Voice Thread
VoiceThread is an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables users to add images, documents, and videos, and to which other users can add voice, text, audio file, or video comments. VoiceThread is a cloud application, so there is no software to install. The only system requirement is an up-to-date version of Adobe Flash. VoiceThread will work in any modern web browser and on almost any internet connection.
I first become familiar with VoiceThread from my friend, Deb Frazier. Click here to read more about how she's used this platform.
