Juniors: Post High School Planning Seminar

On May 19th, 11th grade students met with their counselor in small groups to discuss topics related to post high school planning. Topics include:

  • Credits for Graduation
  • Starting the College Search with Naviance
  • ACT/SAT Testing
  • Free Naviance Test Prep
  • Campus Visits
  • Post High School Planning Timeline

Important Reminders for Seniors!

Required Future Plans Survey in NAVIANCE

All seniors MUST complete the ‘EVHS Class of 2022 Future Plans Survey’ in their NAVIANCE account. The survey is important as it will be used for awards/graduation recognition and reporting your plans for next year. Your completed survey is part of earning your senior opportunities.

Final High School Transcript

All colleges require that you send a final transcript with your graduation date before enrolling. You must request to send your final transcript by noon on June 7th to the college, university, or program you will attend in the fall.

Youth Leadership Academy

Youth Leadership Academy is a joint effort between the Eagan Police Department, The FBI, and the MN Vikings to help develop strong youth into future leaders.

June 20th-23rd

Open to participants age 14-16

MACAC's Camp College: July 18-22, 2022

University of Minnesota Crookston

July 18 — 20, 2022

Camp College is a FREE program designed for current high school juniors (graduating class of 2023) who would benefit from a college readiness program. Students from rural areas, first-generation college students and students from low-income households are encouraged to apply! Sessions focusing on financial aid, college resources, and the application process (among others) will be offered. Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win multiple prizes!

Housing and meals for Camp College are provided for all attendees at no cost. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2022

Come on your own or with your parents. These introductory campus tours and informational meetings can serve as a first step to help you discover just what you’re looking for in a college — especially if you are early in your search. Sessions are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30, noon to 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EXCEPT for the joint sessions held by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, which run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

STEP 1: Check out each college’s profile or use our online search tool to find colleges that matches your interests by majors, sports and the arts.

STEP 2: Decide where you want to visit. View a map to see where our 17 campuses are located around the state. If you're thinking about visiting more than one in the same day, our mileage chart may also be helpful.

STEP 3: Register for free online beginning on May 1 — and mark your calendars!

Minnesota State offers a variety of academic and athletic summer camps for middle and high school students. With 54 campuses across the state, these opportunities provide fun, interactive, and experiential learning experiences on a Minnesota State college or university campus. Students build self-confidence, while learning new skills.

Eastview High School Virtual Calm Room

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Sometimes it can be hard to figure out how to work through challenging times. At the Eastview High School, we have a Virtual Calming Room to help students explore strategies to help deal with those challenges. We hope these tools will provide helpful outlets and practice for when life gets tough.

Park Nicollet's Growing Through Grief Support Group

Park Nicollet’s Growing Through Grief counselor, Jenny Simmonds, will be offering a weekly grief group for Eastview students who have experienced the death of a significant family member (parent, sibling, caregiver, etc.). If your teen is living with loss and you think they could benefit from participating in a grief group, please contact Molly Wellik at molly.wellik@district196.org and we will connect with your student regarding their interest.
